Welcome to the April 2025 HLSA Website Administrators Newsletter.

This quarterly newsletter provides updates, tips and tricks, and important changes to the HLSA’s website and communications platform, AlumniMagnet.

New Features    

Quick RSVP Email Confirmation 

AlumniMagnet has introduced a convenient new feature: Quick RSVP Email Confirmation! When choosing the Quick RSVP function to collect event registration, this feature automatically sends a confirmation email to anyone who signs up for an event. This will streamline the registration process and ensure registrants receive immediate confirmation.

The confirmation email includes the event details: event name, date/time, and location (physical or virtual), along with a link back to the event article on your website. If an alumnus responds to the confirmation email, it will be forwarded to your info@CLUB/SIG.hlsa.org email. This new registration function is live and enabled across the entire AlumniMagnet platform.

• If Quick RSVP has been selected as your registration collection method, a confirmation email will be sent immediately to the registrant.

• If you are using Quick RSVP as your registration method and would like to add a personalized message to the email confirmation (for example, a Zoom link or specific directions for event admission), navigate to Manage Events > select the event (blue cog and View option) > select edit Email Receipt Verbiage.  

Important Dates

March 3 - May 5, 2025

The annual Certification survey launched Monday, March 3, and closes Monday, 5. This survey also captures your Club or SIG’s annual Allocation request. A Club or SIG’s eligibility to receive the allocation is determined by the number of events scheduled and posted on the Club or SIG’s online event calendar (AlumniMagnet) at the time of the Certification’s submission.

Past and upcoming events for this current fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025) will be counted, however, they must be posted online for the alumni audience. Additional details are here on the 2025 Certification and Allocation process.

May 16, 2025

Should your HLSA Club or SIG wish to host an event to which current HLS students are invited, please post the event details and registration on your respective AlumniMagnet site by May 16. The HLS Alumni Relations Office will coordinate email messaging with the HLS Dean of Students Office to invite current HLS students to your summer events.

This is an excellent opportunity to engage young people in their hometowns or while they traveling the globe for summer associateships or jobs. The email invitation to students will go out in early/mid-June.

June 16 - June 30 & December 15 - 31, 2025

The HLSA Clubs and SIGs Newsletter tool will be unavailable during this timeframe due to increased email messages and platform maintenance from the University and Harvard Law School. Please plan and schedule your communications accordingly. The Support Tracker will continue to be available during these times.

  • However, all other AlumniMagnet features (Manage Events, Registration, Tickets, and Calendar) will continue to operate during this timeframe.
