Welcome to the November 2024 HLSA Website Administrators Newsletter.

This quarterly newsletter provides updates, tips and tricks, and important changes to the HLSA’s website and communications platform, AlumniMagnet.

Important Dates
 

December 16 - December 31, 2024

The HLSA Clubs and SIGs Newsletter tool will be unavailable during this timeframe due to increased email messages and platform maintenance from the University and Harvard Law School. Please plan and schedule your communications accordingly. The Support Tracker will continue to be available during these times.

  • However, all other AlumniMagnet features (Manage Events, Registration, Tickets, and Calendar) will continue to operate during this timeframe.

The Newsletter feature will be back online on Wednesday, January 1.

Reminders & Refreshers

  • The Alumni Relations team is happy to provide refresher trainings or check-in on questions you might have on AlumniMagnet. To contact the team, please reach out to Katrina Macher at kmacher@law.harvard.edu 
  • If your Club or SIG would like to access your complementary info@Club/SIG.hlsa.org email address, please contact hlsa@law.harvard.edu. This tool is excellent for general correspondence, and its Google Drive function could be used by your Club/SIG Officers or Board to save and share documents, photos, and event information. 

Newsletter Audience Segments

There are two popular newsletter (email) audience lists you can choose from when using AlumniMagnet:

1) All Who Opted In – This is mostly HLS alumni, but it can include non-alumni like guests of alumni or non-alumni who participated in your past events

2) Alumni & HAA Associate Members – This includes HLS alumni and individuals who align with the HLSA’s Constitution of membership

If you are looking to send a newsletter to only individuals who are alumni, select Alumni & HAA Associate Members (reference in the image below).
